News has just reached us that Rachel has won the prestigious Dada Visual Artist Award 2005. She was presented with the Award at Liverpool on the 2nd December 2005 | The following is an extract from Rachel's Website (see Websites link)

For many years, both Morfydd Davies (Switchboard) and Mary Pierce (Medical Secretary) had taken many photographs of staff. These have now been reproduced on DVD by the Society and were shown during the exhibition.

135 people wrote comments of which 2 were negative and the majority found it 'interesting, enjoyable, sad, moving, brought back happy memories, informative, excellent etc'. Many of the visitors were ex members of staff but there were many others from Denbigh who knew little about hospital and visitors from further afield who found it very interesting.
46 ordered copies of the DVD (STILL AVAIABLE)
53 expressed an interest in buying the book if it is reprinted (IT IS NOW IN PRINT)
It is likely that well in excess of 1000 people saw the exhibition
The vast majority who made verbal comments only were very impressed and found it interesting and many suggested that there should be a permanent exhibition.
