IMAGES OF AN INSTITUTION - North Wales Hospital Historical Society

The video features interviewes with members of staff who share their experience of work and leisure at the North Wales Hospital. There are excerpts from an archive film produced by HTV in 1969. together with recorded sound tracks of 'Dechrau Canu,Dechrau Canmol' (1972) and a popular radio programme at the time - 'Dewch am Dro' (1974) with members of the Hospital Choir. Included in the video is an original recording of the North Wales Hospital Choir and Hospital Eisteddfod. A cine film is also included which captures the atmosphere of the annual 'Sports Day' at the Ablett Fields (Sportsfield) and a rare glimpse of an inter- hospital exchange holidays at De La Pole Hosptal, Hull.
Also featured are the Staff Reunion to mark the end of hospital based training (1993) and the evening session to mark the closure of the hospital (1995).

DERELICT DISCOVERIES - Granada TV

This programme was produced in 2003 by Dreamscope and transmitted in Janury 2004 on Granada TV network. Unfortunatly the programme was not shown by other networks such as HTV. The programme focused on ex members of staff sharing their memories with Jo Blythe.

A QUESTION OF BALANCE - HTV

An hour long documentary programme looking at the history, significance and eventual closure of the hospital in 1995. The producer/director, Medwen Roberts worked very closley with members of the Hospital Historical Society.
